I am 14 and very shy. I feel that I will never get a boyfriend or get married because I will be shy around him. Whenever I am around boys I get very shy and I can't be myself around them...is that normal? I have never had a boyfriend before and all of my friends had boyfriends in like 3rd grade. Will I ever get a boyfriend and be comfortable around him?

There's plenty of time! Don't rush. You will find the right person, or he will find you. And you may change a bit over time. Everyone is a little nervous from now and then.

Don't be so worried about having a boyfriend now,
all of your friends will be single mothers by the time they are 16 and you should be focussed on an education.
You'll have a boyfriend when the time is right.
there is nothing wrong with being shy , some boys like that in a girl,

I'm pretty much the same way with the shyness ect. However EVERYONE whether they're shy or not acts differently around boys they like. I had one friend who just couldn't stop telling embarassing stories about herself to the boy. Other people can try and change their personaility and no boy likes someone whos fake. So, my point is everyone is different around a boy they like and people still end up going out. Also, don't worry about getting married, you still have MANY years and I'm sure you'll find the guy of your dreams.

You will be fine. Some psychologist say shyness is an extreme form of arrogance. They mean, we take ourselves too seriously and think everyone is interested in us. I've been shy my whole life to some degree, but i had to forget about me, and concentrate on others. Do you know enough about others? Probably you only see their public persons, and don't know many people have a feeling they aren't quite good enough. There's a eagle in you wanting to soar. Get involved in an activity that will bring it out. Be friend to someone as shy as you.

Your gonna have a great boyfriend and your gonna be a great wife too. Sometimes it just takes more time for the shy people but when you find the right guy you"ll see it was worth waiting!

You will be uncomfortable for quite some time still. In fact atleast another 10 years! But like with every thing practise make perfect. You will get the hang of it. I tried to see guys and girls the same, coz I could get on with girls. Its alot easier when you start off as just friends.

I was shy also....but then developed into a woman..
You will get over it...Nothing wrong with being shy, some boys like shy girls.

Don't worry you will find someone and he may bring you out of that shyness. 14 is OK not to find someone,some day the right one will come and you will stop being shy.

Dont rush relax your time will come and you will get over being shy i did took me till i was 16 but then it happend good luck to you

Sweetheart, you are still a little girl and when the love bug bites, all that shyness will disappear and the person of your affection will never know you were inexperienced. Go for it doll, enjoy your young life.
