its like a house or something but in the countryside its not used very often Bandar = somekind of a house ... usually of two floors maybe in the fields too

town = karia
fish = samakah (for one fish) and samak (for a more than1)
and port as some1 said is = meena/marsa/marina maybe bandar in urdu is a port but in arabic its not
native speaker

Bandar means port in Urdu. I suppose it has the same meaning in Arabic.
