I am thinking about having a BUPA classic health assessment done. This would involve a mammogram, smear, full blood tests, hearing, vision, heart (ECG) and lung function tests. Turned 40, recently stopped smoking and want a health check. Have any of you out there had one and if so, what do you think?

Its worth it if you're worried. Its very thorough. However if you regularly attend your doctor then he will probably have done many of the tests they offer. If you are concerned about breathing for example the practice nurse could do breathing tests for you in the surgery and save you money.

It is useful though in someone who doesnt regularly attend their local doctor as sometimes it can identify early irregularities e.g. high blood pressure, high cholesterol etc.
