I have bboked my babys christening and wa told that they do not use the water as it is now called a Thanksgiving Blessing rather than a Baptism. Does this mean my baby will still be christened?

a baby's christening is us as parents promising to raise the child to know Christ as we know Him. We as parents, tho, cannot choose our child's faith... that is a decision that they will need to make on their own.. we can only teach them what we know... once they have decided to accept Christ as their Savior... they can choose to be obedient and be baptized...

not so sure about calling a christening a 'thanksgiving blessing?!" what church do you go to?

A christening is just a blessing on the child's behalf, saying the parents will bring him up right.

A baptism is when You are emersed under water, for the forgiveness of your sins, and asking Jesus Christ into your heart.

Don't settle for anything less than water baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Your child deserves as much.

See to it.

The ceremony of Baptism or Blessing are only a confession of title to classify you join the group. For purity of soul; you trust and believe the religious can lead you to your purpose. Whatever ceremony is only in the world not in your soul. Which is more importance? On the other hand; when your baby grown up, will he want to be a christian or other religious?
