Is yours vitamin-fortified kiddie cereal? That smell is the vitamins added to the cereal. Not harmful in itself, but a sign that you may be a little dehydrated, particularly if your urine is also dark in color.
Try drinking more water in the morning--drink 1-2 8 fl oz glasses of water before eating.

Funny you should ask this question because I have been bothered by the same situation. It used to happen a lot more when I was in college and ate sugary cereal to ward off my crunch desire; anyway, I have been studying again and with that, I have been eating Sugar Puffs and Honey Nut Cheerios. And well, after eating them, my urine smells like the cereals. I have been thinking that it must be something the companies add to the cereals because it doesn't happen with Special K or Raisin Bran. I appreciate you asking this question, bizarre as it is, it's great to know there others peeing Cheerios! :) Thanks

You might be eating a cereal high in iron.....have you ever noticed that your urine smells like peanuts after you eat aparagus?

They haven't made sugar smacks in about two decades. I would worry more about eating really old cereal if I were you.
