Saddam was tried by his own people who are Muslims. As for their religion they believe in an eye for an eye.As for the Christian religion Jesus told Peter that those who use the sword will die by the sword.I know at our church and of others who have been praying for Saddam and peace in Iraq for a long time now. This is just another example of how Christians and Bush get blamed for everything.Bush even criticized how Saddam's execution was handled.

Christianity did not declare war on Iraq. That was Bush's idea based on "faulty intelligence" (I wonder if it was Bush's faulty intelligence or the CIA's).
But, "Mawkish" is right. There are many examples in the Bible where the "loving God" ordered the killing of innocent people, only because they didn't become converts.
Saddam did do many wrongs to the Iraqi people. It wasn't the US idea to get him killed after trial. In fact, the US wanted to imprison him in the US. yet, an Iraqi tribunal sentenced Saddam to death.

Saddam deserved the death penalty. He was sentenced to death by his own people, NOT Bush or christians.
Bush did the right thing by removing him from power
You are so evil to falsely accuse innocent people, and defend a murderer like Saddam.

the bible does not say fight evil with evil but things like when cursed give a blessing instead
but you could say the same about any penalty... is any type of punishment evil... is locking a person up for a day evil because they broke some law... is making a person pay allot of money because the broke a law evil because you are making them do something against their will... the witness of history is NO IT IS NOT EVIL and in fact necessary to restrain evil... could be if administered in a cruel
or unjust unmercif way... but that is not the issue
the Bible says in Romans "the law does not bear the sword for nothign" clearly: sword..death penalty... not incompatible

I think Saddam's hanging...
as judged by an Islamic court of law...
wasn't nearly as humane as what Saddam may have received in an American trial.
Had Saddam been tried in our Liberal courts,
remember we don't mix religion and politics...
he very well could have been mistried and freed.
And again, since we don't mix religion with Politics or our governing laws: Christianity plays only a small role.

Not all Christians like Bush, I am personally repulsed by the man. I am opposed to the death penalty--I let my representatives and senators know. Unfortunately, I am not a majority of their constituents. Therefore, my voice does not do a lot of good. I do not believe in the fight.
It is incredibly unfair to stereotype any group of individuals. Just because of the actions of a loud elite. You wouldn't appreciate that.
Have a great day.

Before christianity was born, death penalty was already instituded and introduced on earth by God. The law of Moses required that death must be imposed to those who kills.

'Christian' is the adjective.
Fighting 'evil with evil' is something no Christian can say to substantiate an argument... a house divided, like Jesus said. Ignorance of a faith, whether it's the Presidents or your own, is tiresome. Do some unbiased research.
