oh you can have tattoos in the RAF.
Good luck if you join
Find out when you go for an interview before you decide to join and ask them yourself its the best thing really. i have seen loads of people in the RAF with tattoos every where, legs, arms and neck so dont see a problem

My husband is in the Raf, and tatoos are fine, when you go for your medical and interveiws, you fill in a form saying where in your body you have birth marks tatoos ect.

It will not a all affect your chances.

Good luck in joining. My husband has been in 9 years is an air traffic controller and loves it.

generally they are ok if the tattoo isnt offensive although they did say a guy couldnt join as his union flag tattoo could be considered racist. Maybe they might say an angel is offensive to non-christians or something like that....

I went to joint he army, and as long as you aren't covered in swastikas or anything racist you will be okay. I had to draw them all and describe them on a basic pic of a human body. I personally think they don't care, if anything prefer you to have them, becuase they can be used to identify bodys instead of pricey DNA evidence.

I wouldn't if I were you. The forces can be fussy about that sort of thing and to be honest, why get a tat? It's what everyone does now.
