My science teacher said that we evolve from some sort of a Ape , and the adaptation , survival , facing natures severity learning skills and love to the children has bring us to this stage. My friend who was a born again christian told me that we are made from clay balls, and a priest told me that we are from Adam and eve, the world is made in six days..god made us from dust... I feel like its better to study the easy way. So I can just simply write the bible content to my science exam. The god is poerfull and he made the world in 6days . end of story!!! But . .
I want to be a science person to help the cancer researches .

thomas, for the sake of all that is needed in this world, PLEASE stick to being a 'science person'. You seem like a smart kid.
If you want to be a scientist, who are you going to listen to? Your science teacher (who was right, by the way) or a Born-Again Christian, who are notorious for twisting facts, lying, and torturing others to push their agenda?

I am the Archbishop of Canterbury (really) and I'm also 14 years old but can pass for much older or I'd never have scored this gig. Anyhow, what was the question? Oh yeah, did you evolve from an ape? No way, it was a three-toed sloth -- great survivors, sloths. As for God making the world in six days...it's true and just look at the results. It shows that when you do things in a hurry you make mistakes. And sure you can be a science person if you'd like. I'd rather be a rock star myself but I've no talent for it so I became an archbishop instead. You don't get as many chicks being an archbishop but you get to wear cool hats. Yes, of course you can cure AIDS with a prayer but it has to be just the right prayer. I'd tell you what it is but it we have a non-disclosure agreement with the major drug companies. Sorry.

I dont believe there is anything wrong in learning science, so in your essay exam write the facts you have been given, its up to you to believe them or not. I dont believe in evolution, but i know the theories behind it, and the facts that they have, very interesting and almost convincing. But i have a greater belief in God and the Bible. Many Christians are unsure which way to go when it comes to the creation story. Some are Creationists whom believe that the world was created in 7days. Others believe in evolution and mix it with God. I think its a very personal question. I believe God created the world and let it develop over time. The main point in my opinion is that we are made in the image of God and hence did not look like Apes. Because we are still now in Gods image and last time i checked, i wasnt surrounded by Ape lookin people. Pray and ask God about it.

I would recommend you follow what your Science teacher tells you over what any priest or religious leader tells you. The one who will give you the grades is the one you should listen to.
Don't be confused. It is easy to understand why for Christians man comes from Adam and Eve. I am not a Christian (at least not any more, thankfully). Adam & Eve story is quite pretty actually, but look at it this way. If you go to a Christian College, you will see that even there, the Science teachers will tell you that man doesn't come from Adam and Eve, but we evolved from the ape. That is a scientific fact.

The best thing about science in school is that it is just enough for you to quote what is written. It doesn't always mean that you believe it. Just find a compromise. You're studying science, so science is required in your test. If you find it offensive to your religion write it as : "There are two main view points. The religious and the scientifical one. The scientifical is based on Sir Darwin's theory of evolution. {Explain it} and the religious {Explain it too}. By the way you may be Christian and scientist in the same time.
Einstein is the best example. Good luck!

God did create us in 6 literal days, the Bible text is clear on that. We didn't evolve from ape like creatures, we were specially created by God and bring forth after our kind just as the Bible makes clear. What I would recommend with school is to answer in a way such as "The text book says we evolved from ape like creatures." As long as you can prove you know the material they can't give you a bad grade. You don't have to agree with the material though. I suggest checking out the sources below for more Biblical answers and resources on this subject.

Answer the exam according to what the teacher tells you, but keep studying to figure out what you know to be true.
If you want to be a "science person" then you need to develop those skills and talent. Why not begin doing it with this question? Research and study what you can and form your own thesis.

God made us. I'm with YOU!
I LOVED Science. I have a job now that I love,----- but I don't want to mention it (because I am a private person)----
and I LOVE the science behind the things I do.
My job involves chemicals of sorts.
I have always thought I could have studied something scientific--like cancer cures.
GOOD LUCK!!
You can do ANYthing you put your mind to do!!

My advice is to keep an open mind when you study science. Not a lot of it will fit with your religious views but that doesn't matter. You can keep your beliefs seperate from your education without conflict. You just have to think of it in two minds, one for beliefs and one for science.
Try to ignore any religious biased people in the science class room, they won't get very far in the class and neither will you if you listen to them.

Look, there are a lot of questions that are very hard to answer. The whole evolution theory is based on presuppositions as is the Creationist's theory.
We all have all been provided the same evidences, it is how we choose to interpret those facts. I strongly advice you to have a look at these following video's. They provide a creationist's view on the world and every statement is followed up with evidence.
http://www.answersingenesis.org/video/ondemand/ have a look on what they say about the fossil record
For some audio resources, you can visit the following.

I hope they help. Good luck my friend.

Adam was made from the soil... eve was made from Adam's rib... and all people from that point on were made the 'normal human reproduction' way.... so we are not made from clay balls or dust... perhaps you need to read the Bible and forget asking stupid questions on here. Oh, and you can answer science questions in school based on your faith if it is genuine. My kids have taken alternate tests in science because they had indepth conversations with their teacher about the whole evolution idea... and it didnt stand up to their Faith at all.... so either approach your test like any other fiction work you read... or ask for a test that is alternate from the evolution teaching....
