Head as far west as possible. The parking gets cheaper as you head toward Ninth and Tenth Avenue. Even if you're out at night, plenty of people are getting out of shows at the same time and will be milling about. You'll often get cheaper rates too if you're able to get in before 9 or 10 in the morning. But one thing's for sure, don't even dream of finding street parking- you'd sooner win the lottery!

Hourly parking is running anywhere from $7-$10/ hour (I've seen $7.50/half hour) in that part of town. Sometimes you can luck out and find parking at a meter or on the street for free.

I work near Times Square; there's been a guy handing out flyers for parking in front of my office building all week, advertising $39.95 for 24 hours, which is average, I think.

You haven't said if you are looking for parking by the hour or the day. I entered parking from 2pm to 2pm the next day - and the average price is about $35.00

Sometimes you can get lucky with free hotel parking being provided if you stay overnight at a hotel. Check the offers through or check if a place of your choice has complimentary parking.

Just an idea.
