The Catholic idea of Trinity breaks God into three separate beings: The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19).
Contrast this to the Shema, the basis of Jewish belief: "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is ONE" (Deut. 6:4).
In Jewish law, worship of a three-part god is considered idolatry --one of the three cardinal sins that a Jew should rather give up his life than transgress. This explains why during the Inquisitions and throughout history, Jews gave up their lives rather than convert

Jesus was of the Jewish race and observed the Jewish religious customs. However, whenhe proclaimed he was the son of God, this caused many in his society to shun and disbelieve him. In explaining this statement, there is evidence to suggest he used the phrase in a universal sense, meaning that "he" was representative of the human race as a whole. However, it appears his own disciples really did consider him the actual son of God, or the physical manifestation of God on earth. This belief was the fundamental basis of the new "Christian" religion.
Just because someone is born into a certain race or religion does not, of course, mean they cannot convert at a later date to something else. In the case of Jesus, some theologians believe he was a man imbued with Godly powers, others that he was a man through whom God communicated with the world.

Jesus Christ is God Almighty! it even says so in the bible's, new testament. Unfortunately the majority of Christian religions teach the "trinity", You will NEVER find the word "trinity" in the bible. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost is the basis of this man made theory. A very confusing topic for those who are not actually taught the truth or who have a vague understanding of God. One question for you?...Do you believe in a God (Higher Being/Omnipotence/OmniPresence) that can do anything? and I mean anything?
Then why can't he put himself here on earth in male flesh form, to make a way for all the sinners to come to salvation?
God is Sovreign, He can do whatever He wants, whenever He wants, however He wants. Somethings will remain a mystery to us until we get to heaven. Even the bible says that.

Christians believe in only 1 God as well. The Trinity can be hard to comprehend but even the Old Testament teaches it. God is one God but still 3 distinct persons. I suggest reading more from the sources listed below.

Even the Jews know that God would send a Messiah... His Son... as King of Kings... the trinity is difficult to explain especially to those who don't believe in the first place... God the Father is prayed to and spoken to by God the Son...

God is one in essence and three in persons, aka Trinity
the word 'one' as in 'one God' is echad which allows a composite plurality... "the two shall become one [echad] flesh" speaking of the marriage of Adam and Eve
just as one time can be a coeternal combination of past present and future, God is a coeternal coeistant and coequal trinity of Father, Son and SPirit
by nature originally Jesus was the Son of God from eternity, the eternally generated image of God who is God and took on an addtional nature
a human nature as a Jew from his mother so He would be fully God as well as fully man

The answer is that he wasn't God, but he was the son of God. The two positions are quite different and they are not mutually exclusive. Jesus was created by God aeons before he came to the Earth as Jesus. At that time, he had a different name and role in his father's organisation. You can get more details at this web site.
