1 litre of water weighs 2.2lbs. So 1/2 a litre would weigh 1.1lbs.

How much fluid the human body retains on consumption of water varies greatly between individuals - it depends on how fast the water is absorbed by your digestive system and flushed out by your kidneys, what your body chemistry is like, whether you have water retention problems, how much you've eaten at the time, etc.

But I doubt that you can down 5 litres of water without feeling seriously bloated.

1 litre of water weighs 1KG.Now 1 KG is 2.202 lbs(Pounds). So half litre of water weighs 1.101 lbs(pounds).
Normally intake of water does not result in weight gain as the kidneys are supposed to flush out all the extra water taken by you.Weight gain on account of water intake is possible only if you suffer from water retention.
