Hard disk can be any size, I certainly don't need 80gb but this maybe the smallest available. I want to be able to record to the hard drive but also burn my recordings to a RW if I need to. I'm looking for the cheapest yet reliable, quiet and easiest to use model available!! I've seen one at dabs.com which looks to have all this - has anyone got one - is it any good? Any other recommendations/links are welcome. Thanks!!

In all seriousness, spend a bit more cash!

A DVD recorder with a built in HDD for less than £100 will have a lousy picture, rotten sound, appalling build quality and will pack up in just over a year.

Spend around £250 and you will get something much, much better.

You will have to spend at least double that,to get anything decent.
