My budgie loves playing with a table tennis ball (ping pong ball) - he will tap it around the floor with his beak for ages. He likes it when we tap the ball towards him and he can chase it.
You don't need expensive toys for a budgie, they love anything colourful and noisy. Don't force toys on him - leave them where he can explore when he's ready.
Currently our bird also has two aerosol caps (cylindrical cups), one red, one green that he likes to pick up and throw, an empty cotton reel, and a tube with a handful of jelly beans in - he can roll it and it makes a nice noise.
His favourite game however, is for us to hold a set of keys and rattle them - he tries to get to them but we tease him by hiding them behind our backs. When he lands on our shoulder to look down our backs, we rattle them in front of us - he'll spend ages, trying to find where the keys are. Dumb bird!
It's important to play with a budgie from a young age, you won't be able to tame a bird so well after about 12 weeks.

My budgies have all LOVED bells and cat jingle balls.
Any toys that they can spin, or move parts off also get a good response.
Most of my birds like(d) playing peek-a-boo. It sounds ridiculous, but holding your hand up so they can’t see you, and then removing the hand and saying something stupid keeps them entertained for hours.
Our cockatiel also loves when you tap on the cage. He’ll copy the rhythm you tape.
Some of my budgies have loved this, others have looked at my like I’m an idiot, and others have been terrified of the noise.
All my birds have LOVED music, especially classical. Not really a game, but it will make them happy.
My birds also love playing a form of fetch with blueberries. If you flick the berry, they’ll chase it, eat it, and come back and wait for another one… we can’t play this game to much though, to much fruit means to much bird poop.

When I was a kid back in the stone age I had an electric train set, and every time I set it up and the budgie was out of his cage he would "kidnap" the little plastic porters and passengers off the station and fly back to his cage with them. Never figured out why. We also had a small ornamental brass bell on the sideboard and he would tip this on it's side and roll it around until it fell over the edge, then wait for you to retrieve it for him. Crazy birds, budgies.

Yes!!! If you have had your bird for more than a month and it is used to you you can take it out and talk to it. You can also make a budgie project. Take an empty paper towel roll and smear it with peanut butter, then roll it in bird seeds. Please do not touch your budgie if it isn't used to you you'kk make your situation worse give it sometime.

Write true or false questions on a piece of paper and under each question true or false. Get your budgie on the piece of paper say the question and point at true or false. Me and my budgie play this it took a while for him to get used to it though. It might help you win a quiz.

Hey there,
You can get Table Tennis Pro for free from this link: http://j.mp/1qXDmWh
it's a perfectly working link, no scam !
The objective of the game is to develop the ability to hit the little ball back well with your bat. At first it may seem a little difficult to handle because it varies a lot with your mouse’s sensitivity, but don’t worry, with just a little practice you can become an expert in this type of game.
For me, it's the best game ever.

My budgie LOVES throwing stuff. Her favourite "game" at the moment is to it on my computer's drawing tablet and throw the pen out of its tray! O_O Anything she can pick up and throw, will end up on the floor. It's amazing what she can lift really.

If your budgie is very attached to you and follows you, you could play tag.
Good luck!

Put objects on the couch, chair, or table that he can pick up and drop off the side. Have him climb all the way up your arm across the shoulders and down the other arm. Have him sit on your finger and wave your thumb back and forth slowly, then when he gets the idea, faster, so you are thumb wrestling with him. have him sit on your finger, then jump on the other finger keep going faster and faster with your fingers going back and forth and he hops from one to the next. little bells are always good for them to 'ring'

Mine liked to play the "RIng The Bell game" with me. You get him one of those mirrors with a bell hanging on the end and then you both take turns ringing the bell. who ever rings it loudest wins? I know it sounds stupid but my bird loved this game. He would ring the bell and then watch untill I rang it. It even more fun if you have more then one bell. THe bird gose crazy trying to keep up with you ringing both bells. You can also play tug of war with them. IF you have a bird rope toy with lose strings on the ed of the rope you can (Gently!) pull on the rope toy and the bird will pull back.) ALl birds are differnt though you should see what he likes to play alone and then expand on that.
