I believe what you are asking is two questions and I am paraphrasing. First question has to do with how to use the computer correctly and operate windows successfully. Second question is how to get in contact with classmates of yours that graduated in 1961 from the Birla Institute of Technology in Mesra Ranchi. I will address the second question first. Try clicking on the link in the source area it is the link to that Universities Alumni page. You will need to set up an account and get a login and password. You can also contact the school through the addresses located in the PDF file or the second blue link. Just click on it. Now for the first question. Since you have an aptitude for learning, first find out the windows operating system you are using such as windows 3.1 windows 95 windows 98, windows xp or me, or windows vista. Then go to the library and find a book called Windows (version name such as 3.1, 95, 98, xp, me) for Dummies. Lets say you are running windows 95 then the book would be called "Windows 95 for Dummies". The beauty of these books is they break down concepts in a very straight forward step by step progression. And by the time you are done with the book you will be able to use windows like a pro. As a side note they also have "Physics for Dummies, or Einstein for Dummies" These books are very informative and easy to read. I have also enclosed a link to their website to let you know what they look like.

In Arkansas, USA, as a retiree, you can go to most universities, tech schools, and communities colleges for free. I know quite a few retirees (some are engineers) who take at least one 3 hr course a semester for free just to keep current on their prospective fields. So you could sign up for intro classes to computers, then work your way up. The classes can usually be taken as audits (no grades, you just show up and do the work), or pass/fail, or with traditional credits. Plus, you'll probably qualify for tutoring if you need help with some of the math involved in the classes (when you dont use it, you lose it...now where did all my differential equations knowledge run off to?).......dont know if this type of program exists where you are.

If you want to learn how to use a computer, use a computer. Click on stuff and see what happens. Just make sure you read everything so you don't make any mistakes in a hurry. That's basically how my wife did it, and I think she knows more about the computer than I do now.
