THEY DON'T!!! This is not a religious war. It's about a Dictator & his regime that killed tens of thousands of non-threatening Iraqi people over the years. They also invaded and destroyed a non-threatening country (Kuwait) for reasons that violate the Geneva Accords. The conflict today exists because Saddam didn't follow the Sanctions imposed in the withdrawel aggreement from the first war with Iraq--he didn't allow the UN weapons inspectors the freedom to do what the agreement said. This made George W. very suspicious and angry--and, yes, it's personal because it was a violation of an agreement that his Dad was directly involved in. We continue to fight today because we are trying to establish a functional/fair society in the Middle East.

I dont hate muslims, they are people such as everybody else, the fact that a group of them once made a terrorist action doesnt imply that every single muslim on earth is guilty, or deserve to die. That's stupid and the ones who think otherwise are just intolerant.
In my opinion they have a fascinant culture, and although their religion is very different from ours, I admire the dedication and respect they show to their beliefs and their God (for example like stopping every activity at noon for their prayers, no matter the place, right? well something like that)
I plan to visit an Arabian country this year, the United Arab Emirates, I've heard is a magnificent country (small though), with the most magnificent hotel on it, Burj al Arab, wow! I cant wait to see it!! See? things like that cannot raise anything else in you but admiration to the arabian culture, they're just great!!

Hi,
Not all western people hate Muslims.
I am a Christian but i would never hate someone because of their religion or race.
It can be hard for some people to like certain other people and that has a lot to do with the media. All we hear at the moment is hate things. We get so much info about other races, cultures and religions and none of it seams to be good.
I personaly think, I will like anyone who treats me with respect and lets me have my own opinion. I will also do the same for them.
I have a friend who is Muslim and we have had reali interesting chats about religion and cultures.

We don't hate all Muslims any more than all Muslims hate all westerners. I personally have a problem with the people who have been behind events like 9-11. I don't think that their actions represent a whole group of people though.

Im sorry to tell you that unfortunatly, More then just western people hate muslims. Its the bad muslims that are terrorists that ruined it for the good muslim guys like you. I would think eastern people in new york would hate muslims too, (twin towers). I dont hate you, i realize that there are bad people in every race, and that doesnt mean i should put the good muslims down like you. I have friends who are muslims, and they are really smart, and great people. Be strong and dont let all the hate in the world get you. Surround yourself with love.

Some "western" people ARE Muslims...

Western people tend to think that the radicals who strap bombs to their kids then send them out to blow up school buses full of other kids are either insane or completely without any sense.

Islam... translate that word. Then think about if there should be any such thing as an "Islamic Jihad"

I believe both muslims, or so called muslims, and westeners have contributed to this hatred. Westeners by default, hate or fear that which they don't understand, and in Islam, there are a lot of things that are difficult to absorb unless you are a true believer in the religion. On the other hand, so called muslims, the fundementalists and extemists have given Islam a bad name, unfortunately, due to their unreligious and inhumane actions, they make the news and thus adding to the misunderstanding of the Westeners and thus elevating their fear and hatred, becoming a vicious circle.

As for me, I don't hate anyone at all. I treat everyone nicely, and I expect to be treated the same in return. Simple as that. There are those people over here though who don't like certain peoples. At times, I wonder if they have a problem with themselves.

Western people and muslims..? You've just sited two stereotypes. The hate comes from the disreguard of life, and ignorance of the facts. One minority does not equal all of 'western people' or all muslims.
