How important is this meeting to the career you are trying have? Go to the meeting then go home, always safer than calling in.

If it is the general blahs, I would attend.
If I thought I had a cold or something others could catch, I would let the leader know of my problem and head home for a cuppa, maybe brandy, and bed!

yes go to the meeting,,tell them you are not feeling to good and might have to leave the room for acouple minutes,,see what they say,,
