Viscosity is sort of how it flows based on how thick it is.

It is basically based off of deformity and shear force. Think of oil in an engine, it is listed in vicosity because of the forces of the piston ring to the wall.

Viscosity is the resistance of a fluid to flowing, due to internal friction. You experience the viscosity of air if you are struggling to walk along against a strong wind. But if you jump off the top board at the pool, when you hit the water you experience how much greater the viscosity of water is than the viscosity of air! Check out:
