I was also on Prozac for a few years back when I was being treated for major depression. It didn't cure the problem, nor help much at all, just moved symptoms to my head. I traced all of my mental problems, poor memory, mood swings and many physical maladies to a candida yeast overgrowth that was toxifying my entire system. I believe that if you reduce your toxic load, you will feel better. Try going a week or two without eating sugars or starches to see it you get relief. I have found that it is toxins that cause disease and bring down our immunity. It sounds too simple, but that's why most people miss it.

Most medications to treat depression has this side effect. Loss of concentration.
You should ask you doctor, to give you some other drug, sometimes you adapt better to another drug than Prozac.
Prozac was terrible for me, it developed panic attacks on me, than the doctor, decided to take the drug out of my system carefully and slowly. After that experience, I never took any other anti depressant, the drug seems to be too strong for the brain, plus they are not even sure what exactly causes depression. I decided not to take the risk anymore. I almost had a heart attack in the train during one of my panic's attacks. People around me got desperate to help me and I couldn't move, talk, or breath !

If you are unable to concentrate maybe you should be re-evaluated by your Doctor to see if there is something else that you can take that will not have this side effect.Good luck.
