The picture quality of the Digital Video Camera is more clear than a Handycam. Digital Video Camera is expensive than Handycam.

Handycam, like that of SONY, could be analogue camera,where pictures/video are recorded in a small cassette to be played back/recorded on a normal VCR. A digital video camera also records pic/video in digital format,to be downloaded to computers.

DV generally denotes a camcorder that uses 6.5mm tape known as DV-C
