Unfortunately, windscreen seals may not be very well done on a few models including the Galaxy, this can lead the water to treacle alongside the interior into your footwells.

Well worth to check all the seals before parting with large cash on air conditioning / heater matrix components etc.

is it both front footwells or just the passenger side, ? if it is, it will probably be the rear washer jet pipework, that runs along the wiring loom behind sill trim, check to make sure water has not got into the control units under the seats as if it has, that will be expensive!!!!

It is most probably the windscreen rubber is letting water in. If you take your vehicle to a windscreen supplier, they will reseal it for you. The other cause could be a leaking Heater matrix, the cause of this is if you have to keep refilling the radiator. If that is okay, then it is the windscreen Rubber.

Have you recently had the car serviced? I had the same problem after a service when the pollen filter had been changed incorrectly and allowed the rain water in.

the first thing I would check is the drain for the condensate from the AC core. These do become plugged every now and then. Does this happen when you run the AC or the defrosters?
