By meditation on God's word. Read the Scriptures. The New Testament. Meditate, ponder and think about the verse that your find meaningful. The awareness of the taught that may be harsh or evil,is a good start. Write them down, and make positive statements out of them on paper, first, and in time you will be able to dismiss them and affirm the positive version of the taught that you find harsh or evil.Find some positive thinking people to share them with,and affirm the positive taught often.Music is helpful to practice with God will bless your efforts, ask Him to help you

The Bible talks about "the renewing of the mind " by reading it prayerfully. I do notice a much more positive outlook, more kind and caring, less worried and more directed when I do this.
