There are many similarities between the three great monotheistic religions in the world, namely Judaism, Christianity and Islam. An open mind, aided by the guidance of God, can no doubt discover the one true religion,

Yet the same three religions have marked differences, so radical and so crucial that there is ultimately no prospect of reconciliation between them. Each looks to a respective founder - Judaism to Moses, Christianity to Jesus, and Islam to Muhammad - and the former faiths are not prepared to acknowledge the founders of the religions that succeeded them.

An objective approach to all three religions must lead to the conclusion that the true religion is somewhere among these three, but which one is it?

Bare in mind that Abraham was called the FRIEND OF GOD in Judaism, Chrisianity and Islam - In Judaism and Chrisitianity he was tag as the the father of all true believers. In Islam he is appointed as leader (or Imam) for mankind". - Although all three religions look to Abraham as a leader and the father of all true believers, none regards him as its founder or its most prominent figurehead but sees him solely as a prototype and example of what was yet to come. - There are differences between Judaism and Christianity as well as Islam regarding the nature of Abraham's faith. Both Christianity and Islam agree that he believed in the one God and that he submitted to his will, yet Christianity explores a characteristic of his faith that obtains not mentioned in the Qur'an, namely his implicit trust in God's faithfulness. - As we analyze his faith we are bound to see it was far mare profound than this. We cannot accept that God simply said to him Aslim! - "Submit!"

in the way a dog-trainer will command a dog "Heel!" If the dog does so respond, we will not say he has faith in his master, rather that he has been programmed into responding appropriately to the command. The only state of mind in the dog will be a fear of the consequences if he fails to obey. This certainly was not the attitude of Abraham. There must have been more to Abraham's faith than blind, uncomprehending submission.

The revelation of God started with Abraham and led to the Hebrew and finally Jewish religion which was the first montheistic faith,Christ came to fufill this faith and bring it to completion but was rejected by the Priests and scribes, so those Jews who did believe in Him as the Messiah are the true faith and these eventually evloved into Christian believers, as for Islam this really is a mixture of the two older faiths and so therefore cannot be one or the other.

what its followers do is the last thing you should look into.

what the religion teaches about God is the very first thing you should take a look into.

this is how i narrow it down:

1. Judaism and Islam teaches the SAME exact thing about GOD... Christianity is a little different, i cant see the logic in the Trinity ..cant accept Jesus (whom I believe was a man) to be God.

2. if Judaism is right, the Christianity and Islam is false. if Islam is right, then Judaism and Christianity is outdated (which makes Islam the final religion). but how do i tell if Islam is right? i study Islam's teachings about beliefs and the Prophets, and the Quran... i try to find reasons why Islam must be true and why it cannot be true at all.

3. taking a look at Islam overall (beliefs, Quran, Prophets, etc)., i cant say that its possible Islam might have been made up.

First of all you are somewhat wrong Moses was not the founder of Judaism, but the first Jew was our father Abraham. Hence, we Jews call him the patriarch of our faith. Moses was a prophet and there cannot be a greater prophet then him.
To answer your question Christianity and Islam both arose from Judaism. To answer your final paragraph the true religion of the three is Judaism. Since, the latter two arose from us.

Christianity does accept Moses but the founder of Judaism and Christianity is the same God. Judaism and Christianity both acknowledge the Old Testament writings, the prophets, the acts of God. Jews are still waiting for the Messiah, Christians know he has come. Jews acknowledge that Jesus existed and believe him to be a great prophet but not the son of God. Christians know differently.

Islam did come a long later and pulled from both religions plus added some of their own stuff.

But Jews and Christians believe in the same God.

Islam.

I have studied all three, and like what Islam teaches, Christianity was incomplete, and was completed by men. While Islam was presented by God as a whole and complete set of laws, moral, ethics.

Even to prove the divinity of the Qu'ran, a lot of the verses are very scientific and is supported by History and science. Such like the verse that states the earth is spherical, the formation of the human being inside the womb and so much more.

I only speak of the truth.

Judaism, Christianity, islam all share the common history . ....So we can know that there was a GOD ,there was abraham, there was mosses, the ten plagues on Egypt .....etc it is written in all the holy books . if it was just in one holy book we can't be sure . it can be some fiction story written by some one. islam is an arab relegion . Jews and arabs were never one . from the birth of ishmael and issac they were two .. they never had peace with them throught the history so that they can sit down and write some fiction story ...... when we read Bible or Quaran or Torah we can find that they share same history...about the same HOLY GOD ,about his love for his people , how he delivered those who love him with mighty hand from the troubles .... as asked the question (same three religions have marked differences, so radical and so crucial that there is ultimately no prospect of reconciliation between them) that is the great testimony for us who have never seen GOD that Mighty GOD is there .

Bible (old testament)and Torah is clear about how God is going to save all the people in world through Christ. Before the birth of Jesus Christ israelities were only selected by God and we all were pagans worshipping nature (if you were not a jew) .Torah or Bible (old testment) is all leading to messiah . it is plainly written .Scriptures get fulfillment only with Jesus Christ.
I always wonder how people disbelieve Christ. he and all his apostles were killed .they never held any authority in any earthly kingdom. See the church today how powerful they are how rich they are ....But Christ and his apostles had no power or riches .They were in poverty...it is for us who live in latter generation to understand and believe in him ...... is there anyone who will leave all the happiness of earth go on preaching with poverty .. never held any high office.....only later to be killed by his own people only one from GOD wil do it.

I dont believe in Prophet mohmmed . i think he has made his people corrupt . What is your faith in Islam ? why do you believe in it ?
they have been injected with wrong teachings from the child hood so they dont think.......They cant feel GOD .. they dont try to understand ....
their prophet has made them unreceptive to world ... I argue my muslim friends to seek GOD ..... Just instead of doing the rituals think is there a GOD ? what is he like ? how i can find or feel him ? ......then you will understand the truth about GOD

i can't tell christianity is true religion .how many of us are living as true christians ?.....True relegion is walking in the way of GOD and believe in Jesus Christ

Abraham had faith in God.

We complicate matters and create allegiances to the way we worship (religion), but at the core of all strategies of worship is a devotion to God.

He would not fit into any three categories, by modern definition. But all three religions find source in Abraham's various worship practices.

"An objective approach to all three religions must lead to the conclusion that the true religion is somewhere among these three"???

No, it doesn't. The three great sci-fi/fantasy movie trilogies of the last few years are the Matrix, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. Does an objective approach to all three trilogies lead to the conclusion that the true trilogy is somewhere among these three?

Study all three and you decide. Here, everyone will support their respective religion.
It will suffice to say that Abraham was the follower of One God.
Cheers & Peace.

Abraham was not a Jew, a Christian or a Muslim.

But he was a Creationist and believed that God was his father.

(I've added Creationist because he's the one responsible for bringing the first 11 chapters of Genesis into the Promised Land. Without him, we wouldn't have it.)
