i have tried this, and it does work. anything citrus would keep the animal away. they dislike the taste and smell. like possibly an airfreshner. spray in the area. try it, it works. or try cleaning with orange clean next time you dust. hope this helps!

Well my dog is 13months old and he still hasn't grown out of chewing and he has a habit of chewing wires aswell, which is obviously dangerous and scarily my dog has chewed through live wires, luckily he's been ok but now all our wires are out the way of him,we unplug them when finished using them ie the tv.I would advice doing the same or getting some sort of cable guard to put around the wires.Good luck and remember keep telling your pup no when he's chewing and provide hard chew toys for him.

The puppy should have no unsupervised freedom in the house until it is 100% reliable. Complete supervision of puppy will keep it from chewing things, crate the pup when it can not be watched. How long it will take before chewing stops depends on the dog.

Shepard is correct! The puppy shouldn't be unsupervised unless it's 100% reliable. Understandably the puppy may get away from you sometimes SO try using cayanne pepper, or tobasco sauce. Just a bit should do the trick. It helped my brother's dog. None of the sprays worked for her either.
Good Luck

Get hold of a rug and cover over your floor cables. On top of the rug place heavy telephone directories.
Now he cant reach your cables.
Give him one or two toys to chew and he'll grow out of the cable biting.
Out of sight is out of mind

When the puppy tries to chew the cable, get hold of the scruff of the neck and shake (not too hard). It's what it's mum would do to teach it when it was doing wrong.

check with your hardware stores to see if they have something that you can cover all the wires at the same time. it has a slit in it and it goes over all the wires. is this a small puppy or a large one

lock the doors in these rooms so the puppy cant get at the cables
or just leave the puppy outside all the time and try every week or so to see if it has grown out of this tendency
