If he finds out though, he'll be so angry with me so please dont tell him.

Im 42 and he makes me so happy.

I've never had an 'imaginary' friend in my entire life. I think you might need to access some therapy. It sounds quite delusional and you might have some kind of mental illness such as schizophrenia. Suffering from delusions is absolutely a sign of mental health issues.

These things can be quite easily treated with medications and managed with ongoing therapies. A close friend has delusions and mental health problems and with medication and therapy, she's doing very well. A problem may arise if your 'boyfriend' becomes hostile, angry, agressive or asks you to do dangerous or harmful things.

I urge you to seek therapy about this. There's nothing to be ashamed of, and your life will be a lot more stable.

You are so living in a "fantasy world" Something is missing in Reality land for you to even need a fantasy Boyfriend. Maybe your husband or Boyfriend are not meeting your needs, or maybe you do not have a man in your Life and so you have to pretend. Get out of the house and go do things with Real People. I promise you in time the imaginary one will disappear. If he doesn't, maybe you need to talk to a Doctor about this..
