Hi there. The Wikipedia guy is right, the general stuff is in there BUT bear in mind when reading especially that
1. Organisation. They were organised in cells like a modern terrorist organisation and had been preparing for decades. The other parties were far looser and prone to internal debate.
2. Focus and Ruthlessness. They showed no mercy and no pity to opponents. They murdered, tortured and battered to one side anybody who got in their way. This continued once they were on top (such as the starvation of the Ukraine).
3. Subversion. Because they were preparing so long, they had subverted the army early. As the soldiers streamed back from the war with Germany, they were primed with bolshevism already and although there were initially fewer bolsheviks, they grew steadily - and with fit, armed, violent members from the army.
