I'm pleased to hear that you're sure you don't have depression.

Happy things bring on tears as well of course. Thinking about being close to someone, a great holiday, an emotional football match, can all bring on tears of joy!

That's not to say that there may be some temporary stresses in your life. If you feel the need to cry it's usually best to let it - otherwise it will keep bottling up. Difficult to do in Tesco I know...

Don't be so sure that you are not suffering from some form of depression or anxiety. I have been suffering from depression for over a year but have only been receiving treatment for the last 3 months as I convinced myself that my life was too good for this to be happening to me.
Moving home can be one of the most stressful life events you can experience. If this is the first time you have lived together with you boyfriend you could be experiencing anxiety (subconciously?) about this.
Check out the depression alliance website - they have a useful checklist - see if you recognise any of the other symptoms.
Good luck with everything (and I sincerely hope I am guessing wrong)

You didn't mention your age; if you're over 40 I would suspect menopause. Others are just over-emotional, like myself. Sometimes I just cry, just as you said, at the drop of a hat. But if that was your problem, it wouldn't have just struck you. I wish I knew your answer. Good luck, and be glad you can cry. Some people can't, and get all bottled up inside.

It could be coming up to your time of the month - on the other hand I went through a phase similar to that several years ago - I had everything and was so happy at home but at work I had a very stressful job and it was tough - I went to the doctor and was told I was suffering from depression

Could be hormones playing up. Not sure of your age but really it happens to everyone. Thankfully you do not sound like you have any problems. Just remember all the good things and sometimes just that can make us tearful. Chin up an d go treat your self to a manicure or something you enjoy

Well if you were pregnant i would say over whelhed hormones...?
If your going through the change also hormones, and it's perfectly normal..

If it's neither of these then its you... sometimes we cry and cry and its our way of realeasing our emotions.. we cry to feel happy or to revoke a memory.. It';s great to cry it lets out tension, stress and clears your head.. Don't knock it as it does help and it will be a way of your emotions being expressed in your way at that aprticular time.
