Yes of course because climbing stairs is a type of excercise, as we already know excercise can burn calories and fat from your body, moreover it can also increase your heart ability to pump blood.

Unless you have health conditions...climbing the stairs is great for you! Always take the stairs instead of the elevator. It's excersise that you don't evenr realize you get. I do it at work all the time and my legs are like rocks now!
