And second to that I once had indigestion that was like a heart attack!

The day my 19yr old daughter died, my heart broke that day and will never ever be repaired. Labour pains, headaches and such can all be cured, but a broken heart can't.

Hey I was thinking about asking that same question last week. Are you my British twin? Well, I have been through labour and it was really bad. i ended up with a C-section and am told I will never have a natural birth again. Thank God! But that was not my worst pain. I once had an abscess tooth that was so bad that the left side of my face swelled and I got a big bag of pus under my eye. I looked like I had been in a bar fight with a Chelsea hooligan(I am an Arsenal fan). I went to the dentist and they had to cut open the inside of my mouth and squeeze my face to suck out all of the pus. I had NO Novocaine!!!!!!!! It wouldn't take! I think I was in shock during the ordeal. I was in so much pain, I just dug my nails into the arms ot the chair. When it was all over, I cried myself home crawled into bed at 4pm and slept straight through untill 11 am the next day. After that, I wondered if labor was going to be as bad as that. Glad to say that It wasn't. Have a great day!

I was in a coma for just over a month, and awoke to find my head in agony - I'd been run-over by some careless driver. I had all the drip feeders etc and a ventilator. My whole head was in the most intense sheer total pain, even though I was on morphine or something like it.

My head was so painful, after having numerous brain surgery operations, and losing part of my skull. I didn't even get a second without a headache for over a year.

I can't get labour pains, I'm a guy, so can't compare.

Good luck! Rob

Even though I went through an emergency caesaeran, the after effects of the whole operation was horrific, I could hardly walk for 6 weeks & felt a total let down & upset at the fact I went though a major operation. Some mothers would say it's THE EASY WAY OUT but no, I am now suffering from post traumatic stress & post natal depression on top of that which will last for way longer than natural labour itself, I just had to prove that caesaerans are not as easy as people say.

I would agree that labour is agony but my pain was two years ago when i had pneumonia that was really bad and made labour feel like a little bit of an inconvenient headache. And having a deodrant can fall from a high height and land on my big toe that hurt for months and the toe nail took six months too loose the bruising it hurt so much that i couldn't even manage to scream

I would say labour however, I had a epidural so felt nothing. The only pain I have ever had was earache last year. Was in constant pain for 4 days, had to sleep sitting up with my head again the wall for support, popping pain killers ever 2 hours and couldn't really eat as my right side of my face hurt too much.

The worst thing about it was that my son saw all of this and thought I was going to die. Worst days of my life!!

I'm a man so pregnancy isn't really an issue for me... most of the time...A pregnant wife can be quite a pain though. However I had 2 wisdom teeth out. I'd had injections both sides, the dentist tested and it was fine to go ahead as it was all numb, he thought... the first came out a treat, the second was like being hit with a hammer... right onto the tooth. The pain subsided after about ten minutes as it went properly numb. I'd suggest leaving it for as long as possible to go numb if you need this treatment. HAVE A NICE DAY EVERYONE!

Normally it would be labour without any hesitation, but lately i developed lower back pain and was told my spine was pressing on my nerves at one side - hence the pain! This was unbelievably the most excruciating pain i can ever imagine. Any activity led to OUCH. No help with the millions of painkillers i was prescribed and similarly no help with physio, but recently i went to a chiropractor and voila - the pain has gone....... What a relief!!!!
Will never moan about labour again.

The 2 that stick in my mind both were early 2006 (I had a bad start to last year!!)

1) I got gastroenteritis and got so dehydrated that I was doubled up in pain. I honestly thought I was dying, as did my hubby, got rushed into hospital and put on morphone or something as strong for the pain, now THAT was bad

2) I then got a cycst in my yoo-hoo, on the lip, and it swelled to about 4 times normal size. I couldnt sit, wear knickers, wee.....I was in tears for about 4 days until the hospital ... well I wont go into details, but it involves a scalpel!!! OOooh ouch!!!!

BTW reading the labour descriptions is one of the reasons Im of the 'elective Cesaerean brigade'!!! ;O) xx

Toothache is about the worst pain I have ever suffered. Not too many of those thank God. My dentist fixes things nicely now. No more pain in the mouth.

My worst pain experience in early childhood happened when I was about 5 year old. I ate what must have been about one pound weight of unripe gooseberries. Stomach ache for 24 hours. Don't do this, not when you're five anyway.

Needless to say I have never eaten gooseberries since, not even the jam.
