when I was young and foolish yes, now I'm older and wiser, it would be lunacy to go for someone based on looks.

my first two wives were at least an eight
both were above average in looks and were very sexy.
both marriages failed

my third wife had very bad acne when i met her and she was a little on the short side for me and she never was married and did not have any children and did not want any but she worked a lot and knew how to cook and keep a good home
she also was a Catholic and a REAL Christian and not lose in her morally
This girl did not have the looks but she has the brains and now we have been married over21 years and as long as we don't take each other for granted ...I believe this will last a long time..
looks is not everything just as sex is not everything..it just depends on your priorities in life.

Of course. But my idea of attractive may be different than the next guys. I like women with a little meat on the bone, for example. The thin-as-a-rail women are not attractive to me. Also, an otherwise average woman can become highly attractive with the right personality, and the opposite is true as well. An attractive woman who has an un-attractive personality can become physically unattractive quickly.

Physically, looks are always a plus, but it's more features than over all looks that I am attracted to. That and I find that personalities do wonders for perception. Hot person + nasty attitude = not a very pretty face. You start to read the nasty attitude in their facial expressions. Not so pretty face + great personality and outlook on life = extremely attractive face and vibes. You see the good nature in their facial expressions and you become more and more drawn to him/her.

I guess initially I probably do, although I dont go for pretty boys. Its mainly what is inside, Ive seen plenty of very handsome men who are extremely unattractive inside. I find the rougher looking guys have the bigger hearts.

If everyone is honest looks attract us to a person first.

When you see a guy/girl in a bar for example you dont know if they have a good personality until you get to know them, you just know they look good.

I think looks are important amongst other things. I need to be attracted to someone as well as like there personality etc

Sort of.

I have a general idea what I like in a lady, but it isn't written in stone.
Sure, I'd love to have a pretty woman to marry, but if she is very nice, honest, & other things, sometimes, if she can be a good friend, she could be a good girlfriend to have, I think, too.

It all depends.

yes and honestly it does play an initial important part but its only initial...
for looks are not as important as the "inner looks" for it really enhances and brings friendship and relationships into another level of advancement.

Yes I do, in the initial phase of the relationship. Ultimately I would go for character more.

I always says "cannot judge a book by its cover" but too bad, I still can't get myself to do that, it's easier said than done...
