No, she is seeking attention because her life is miserable. With a failed marriage, and a career going downhill, she figures that this might be an answer. Sadly it is not. If she would just turn to God and get saved, her life could turn for the better. being rich does not bring happiness.

Spears’ busy Friday night began in the salon of Esther Tognozzi, who told the syndicated television gossip show “Extra” that she was afraid to shave Spears’ head in case she was sued for ruining the singer’s image. • Does fame drive celebs crazy? Feb. 20: Pop star Britney Spears isn't saying why she shaved her head last weekend, but some fans and entertainment observers believe it is a public cry for help. NBC's John Larson reports. After Tognozzi protested that Spears was maybe being “hormonal” and would feel differently the next day, Spears coolly “grabbed the buzzer and started buzzing her own hair off. ... I just cleaned it up when she was done with it,” she said. Tognozzi said Spears seemed to be “just there in body and not really emotionally there,” but did get “a little bit teary-eyed” when she realized her mother might get upset. The whereabouts of the hair was a mystery, although an enterprising person in Pennsylvania was selling 10 lots of the purported locks on eBay at $50 per lot. Personally I think this is a cry for help . . . she is recently divorced and has 2 kids ! And a rumoured second on the way . . .

Sally Joe Smith could go in and have her head shaved and it's nothing. Britney Spears does it and folks are calling her crazy and saying it's a cry for help. She's a grown woman and that's her hair and I can't see why people are making this into some kind of major historical event in US history. It's petty.

I think she shaved her head in preparation for her time in rehab. She said she was tired of being "touched." Come to think of it she would probably be better off at a Buddhist retreat somewhere in Tibet. At least there if she exposed herself in public they would be chanting in a language she couldn't understand & would have no desire to touch her.
