Bring them to Jenkinstown Forest Park to see the deer then maybe to Dunmore Cave, though that may not be suitable for such young kids. Both attractions are on the Castlecomer road, 6 miles north of the city. You could also check out an activity centre for small children called The Fun Factory on New Street in the city itself. That's just off the Calan road and at the back of The Clubhouse Hotel on Patrick Street. Ormonde House is the name of the building I think. The public swimming pool is across the river from the Smithwicks brewery and the library is almost right beside it.

I used to love going to Kilkenny Castle. you can take a tour of the castle and there's a big park beside it with a playground. It's within walking distance from the city centre-have fun :D
