the reason we are not friends anymore is cos we just lost contact, and he treated her like crap and she has no idea of how it feels to be treated the way she deserves to be, i wanna put that right shes amazing!

go for it, i know that you probably feel like you are being deceiptful but if you really think thast you can make her feel special then just do it. you must really care for her and respect her to have that high of an opinion of her. good luck to both of you

If your friendship with this person is clearly over, and you and their former partner truly have feelings that have grown AFTER your friend and their relationship, then I see no real problem. If your old friend may possibly ever become a friend again, obviously this might pose a problem/obstacle in the way of rekindling the friendship. Honestly though, people cannot help who they fall in love with and if you and the girl or guy fell for one another, after she/he and your ex-best friend were together, then that doesn't necessarily make it wrong. Many will say all friend's ex'es are off limits, but sometimes life gets in the way and you simply fall for those people. Best of luck.

I guess it depends on if you feel guilty about it or not. If there is guilt in your heart then, it's wrong. If this guy is an ex best friend then, I guess you have already had a falling out so, I guess that wouldn't effect your relationship.

There is no right or wrong just levels of trickiness. I recall someone saying that you can never love a person too much, just the wrong way at times.
