Belief in God is an individual preference. We all have reasons for believing and not believing. "Religion" is a man-made business venture that sometimes has little to do with what God truly wants from us. Many churches put more faith in men or women who are behind the pulpit than in the true God. The Bible says there "are many wolves in sheeps' clothing". Believe it....

That may have worked when Christianity was a part of the government and depended on taxes for their salary, but now that any church association is voluntary, and each person can read the Bible for themselves and freely decide their own doctrines, most Christians never pay a cent to anyone. Tithes are typically just to help the minister as most ministers need two jobs to support their family. I would agree though that some people commercialize religion

We believe in God because we are intelligent life forms. And it is the inteliggence within us that prompts us to believe that there must be a higher intelligence at work, creating, sustaining and guiding the entire universe. It is the inner intelligence that makes us believe that by drawing closer to the universal force we we will achieve a better understanding of our own self.
In our attempt to realize God, we may take upon a method of realization that best suits us. When this method is followed by more people constanly, it becomes a religion. Religions are mere paths towards a common destination. Nothing more than that.

dont reject God because you reject a religion. before you take a look into religion, convince yourself whether or not if God exists.
take a look at something as big as the universe and something as small as an atom, and how they function. knowing how the work, its impossible to believe how the universe could have made itself through coincidences. its more ridiculous than saying an airplane being built by a tornado in a junkyard.
yes, religions may be wrong. but that doesnt mean God is false. but that shouldnt stop you from looking into religions. maybe you'll find the right religion one day. God knows.

Religion is the sum total of your doctrines, dogmas, and practices, and is the form to which faith is content. You should invent a new word for religious-oriented business, rather than maligning the noble concept of religion.
But that's just my opinion.

Christianity is a death cult and its power comes from the basic human trait of fearing death and the unknown. I'm sure that if there was no promise of an afterlife, Christianity would hold no allure. I now have no fear of death and have been relieved of the need to cling to allusive promises from an alleged superior being.

I believe in God because I have an on-going relationship with him and talk to him whenever I want. If he never talked back, I'd divorce him on the spot. I don't have time to believe in a fake deity.
