if it is a clear drink, fruit. If it is a thick drink like a mudslide, make designs on the inside of the glass with chocolate syrup, or any type of fruit or colored syrup. If the drink has a whipped topping, try chocolate shavings. Or maybe, put lemon on the rim of the glass and dip in chocolate shavings, or vanilla candy coat shavings. I don't think there are anything you can't do, unless you are using something that doesn't match your drink or just tastes bad.

Difficult one, if it is Alcoholic, since we are supposed to promote sensible drinking, and avoid making things like Alcho Pops look attractive. I think personally simple clear clean advertising works. Look at the Magners advert, simply a pint glass with Ice, and cool water dripping down the glass, on a hot summers day worked a treat... Cider with Ice! Not done before, but at one point we couldn't stock enough Magners in summer, I struggled to shift the draft strongbow! No frills no Gimmick just a great looking freshly poured drink, chilled... sets the mind wandering and your mouth watering! and the idea Mmmm I just fancy a pint etc pops in automatically to your thoughts! Plus stands out, I tend to look through ad's posters etc that have to much happening, partly because I never have time to stop and look and partly because they are now so much and everywhere you just don't see them. Something simple like a straight forward picture of a drink, with simple but appealing back ground, say pint of Larger, chilled sat on a beer garden bench in blazing sun, gets the message across even if you only scan the picture in passing!

Serve fruit slices (pineapple, grapes, orange slices) placed on a skewer across the top of the glass.
Or dip the gals rim (glass upside down) first in water and then into a bowl with salt (or coloured sugar) to decorate the glass rim.
Also putting glasses into the freezer before serving the drink will give the glass a neat frosted look when you pull it out and pour a drink into it.
Also serve them in interesting glasses, champagne flutes, martini glasses, shaped cocktail glasses, heavy crystal tumblers, etc depending on drink type.
Finally, have ice cubes ready (ideally crush them a bit by whacking them on the counter top inside a kitchen towel) get a set of black straws that match the specific glass type.

A cool thing to do for a drink, alcoholic or not, is to freeze small pieces of fruit and/or berries in water or 7up or something clear, and use those for ice cubes. You've got your decoration floating around in your glass, plus adds taste. Not good for all drinks of course, gotta be a somewhat clear liquor.

Add food colouring to them ( has no taste)
Also ....VERY classy and fancy would be to add sliced orange on the rim , or cherries , a slice of apple or peach ! Any slice of fruit looks pretty on the rim of the glass !
Also a cool fancy straw OR those little umbrellas that u see served at the restaurant bars!! Good luck and happy sippin'!

I going to give you a sensible answer. For adults martini shaken not stirred served with a olive. For juniors lemonade with a twist of lemon served with an ice cube.

1) put glasses in the freezer before serving
2) dip the rim of the glass in water then sugar to frost it around the edge, sweet but special
3) fruit on sticks or over the rim of the glass is a classic
4) adding coloured non alcoholic mixers such as grenadine...
5)for halloween etc.. put funky plastic hands, eyeballs....
6) wine tags around the base, to identify your glass..
hope this helps!!!!
