My daughter has a throat infection at the moment and is only eating cold yoghurt straight from the fridge. You could try ice cream as well. Maybe something with mashed potato wouldn't be too much for your throat like a shephards/cottage pie.

Whenever I have a really bad sore throat, I take Ibuprofen in addition to any cold medicines I'm taking. (Just make sure your cold meds don't have Ibuprofen in them or you could end up with stomach problems.) But believe it or not, it helps ease the pain of the sore throat so I can eat more foods. I wouldn't suggest eating anything too hard or crunchy, but it will help you be able to eat more than soup.

you could try ice-cream, custard or jelly the coolness might help soothe you throat. If you are hungry try putting some cooked vegetables and gravy through the blender. These are the things my son ate when he had a mouth operation a while back. Hope you feel better soon.

If your over 21 (in the us), try a hot tottie before you eat to ease the pain. To make: Hot tea, lemon juice, honey, and a bit of rum (spiced rum works well). This should help dull the pain so that you can eat a little more freely. Good luck and get well soon.

Hard question. If you can't eat maybe you should just drink more. Or go to the pharmacy or boots (if you live in england) and ask them, they know so many different remedies for these kind of things. If worst come to worst go to the doctor, it can't hurt!
Lots of luck to you

yogurt and milkshakes are very gentle, as is a good pint of beer. Beer snacks would be a problem though... Get well soon.
