First of all let's understand the concept of dating.
The pair involved in dating should know that they have met to get to know the other person in better terms and to analyse whether they can spend the rest of their life with that particular person comfortably or not.
But half the times, this pair misses out the target. No need to prove this out as we can very well make out - There are more divorces in the societies where dating is prominent.
Dating is a must, and it does make sense, unless you miss the aim of dating. Remeber, whenever you date -
1> Don't get obsessed by the other persons looks or personality.
2> Be original, Don't try to impress. You cannot wear that mask throughout your life.
3> Share your inner feelings, your dreams, your fantasies, your goals. Its important for both, cos once you decide to bind into a relationship, you will need to co-operate with each other in these areas.
4> And specially for guys - Never the hell think about quick sex. Once you find a perfect match for your soul, you will definitely find a perfect match in that girl for your body. TRUST ME!!!
5> Dating is not always a success at the first meet. Give the other person and yourself a second chance.
6> If it still doesn't work out - DON'T WORRY - There are a plenty out there.
About dress, wear anything that comforts you and makes yo ustand out. Definitely not red. Wear cool shades. Try to show the most of your personality, not you body...

It depends where you are going. You can make jeans look really dressy or casual. I don think you can go wrong in jeans. If you are going somewhere where you need to dress up then a little black dress never fails. Dont wear anything too revealing as its a first date.

The first date is sooo important and for that u should be more imperssive in the first date try to wear a very nice dress but not to look over try to be simple and chic . do not talk alot . try to listen more than talking do not be a negative at any subject u talk about try to be moderate till u know him well . try to talk in general topics to know how is thinking . try to be nice and funny and do not forget to give a good impression before leave him by saying a nice word that u enjoy going out wiz him . happy to see him ...

I think u should wear something which is not to volgure,else ur boyfriend will think that she is ready-to-bed kind of girl.Wear something attractive but decent n d same time.y not a simple goun or jeans with a attractive top?If u r dark try to ware a combination between baby pink with sky blue.If u r fair try to ware something n red 4 d first date.
U dont have to act anything b urself.

just don't keep him waiting when he comes to pick you up as his time is valuable too
don't wear anything to revealing on the first date as you will come off looking cheap..
just do the same thing you would advice your daughter to do when she starts dating...(if you had a daughter_) do you want to have a relationship? or just relations?
a good girl ends her first date with a kiss a bad girl starts her first date with a kiss..don't be that girl?

for ur dress code.. it depends on the venue he's bringing u to..
if he's taking u to a fancy restoran.. u dun wanna show up wit t-shirt n jeans rite... wear a simple dress.. if it's jus a movie, dress up opposite.. be simple..
