Welcome to Atlanta, where public transit is neither public, nor transit! There is no bus, train, or anything other than a personal vehicle that can get you from the airport to the mall. I imagine you could get a taxi, but it would cost a fortune.

Your best bet would be to get a rental car, the Mall of Georgia is no where near the airport (opposite ends of the city and in different counties), the public transportation wouldn't get you where you need to go and a taxi would cost you an arm & a leg....

If driving from the airport, i would suggest getting on to I-85 North heading to Gwinnett County. Mapquest gives good directions on how to get to the Mall of Georgia. I've lived in the Atlanta area for about 6 years. Hopefully this info helps.

There is transit available from the Airport to the Mall of Georgia. Take Marta from the airport. The link below provides the schedule from three different Marta stations. The schedule indicates it takes about an hour, but during rush hour in the morning or the afternoon, plan for longer time.

Did you check with the city transit? We live in a big major city and we have a bus that runs from our side of the city to the airport. Anyone can catch this bus from the downtown terminal
