It is most disgusting that questions identifying the so-called intolerance of Islam are removed.Message of Islam is "Love for All Hatred for None".If any intolerance is being exercised by any muslim regarding dress, it is without any divine sanction may be due to some psychological problem.Nowadays a few muslims tend to show off their love for their religion and try to act as saviours of others morals.A muslim is to care for his own acts and deeds;then his family and friends and then society in general but through love and affection not through coercion. If somebody does not accept the advice, he is answerable for his acts. But at the same time, the socalled west is not right in condemning hijab for instance.Millions of muslim woman living in the socalled west use the same dress as the wetren woman, if a few little fantic girls use hijab merely as reaction why even the European heads of states are becoming so jittery? My dear your western way of life is so attractive and glamouous that these little girls wearing hijab in schools shall ultimately join you, unless your own western woman are not fed up with their sexual exploitation by men folk of West.

I totally agree with you!Your question was legitimate, and should not have been removed!
(I also agree with the bending over backwards point)
Anyway, a question like that can trigger a huge debate about religion and some nasty comments, and Yahoo! does not want that..............the next thing you know, they will be all over the papers just like channel 4:)))))))))now who would want that kind of publicity? LOL

For the same reason most news about the Islamic way of like in Muslim countries never makes it to the west. Any such talk is branded racist. Of course, saying anything complimentary and it will make the 6 o'clock news.
was this the article in question though?

It is just the way answers is done people report you for whatever and they dont even read the question they just delete it.
I had a question deleted from the bull fighting section once for asking why there was a bull fighing section when no-one cares or even asks any questions on the subject.

Probably for the same reason that we aren't allowed to protest that we are loosing our indentity. Or for the same reason that we are having every one else's beliefs/customs and cultures shoved up our nostrils. Or for the reasons that we are no longer able protest at the changes we don't want. The 'Powers that Be' will only wake up when its too late.

It sounds like the substance of your question will survive if you try again and word it more carefully & sensitively - I bet you were more offensive than you needed to be last time, or the question simply vanished because the voting winner was 'no best answer'.

I think you misunderstand the reporting procedure. People can easliy boot your posts. But you can appeal to Yahoo, and a human will look at the question and determine whether or not it meets the community guidelines. I have had several deleted answers restored.

Because people who practice Islam are very sensitive and take offense if we dare ask one question that is not glorifying them. I too have had questions removed. I feel if people are too sensitive for some fo the questions, then they should go and find something else to do rather than bother us who do like to answer and ask questions freely without having them removed.

I do agree with you though. You had every right to ask.
