Sounds like your AS/400 has a harddisk defect...

Cannot IPL (Initial Program Load) means, that it is not able to start.

Wait for IBM Tech support, sounds like a good idea....

Good luck

B900 3c20 is a disk failure my friend. With any luck, the drive is just stuck--The spindle or head sticks. A sharp kick in the side of the machine (serious about this, it works but is only a last resort) should be enough to unstick the drive. Otherwise, IBM rep should be able to remove, tap/bang on the drive and unstick the drive. Hopefully the drive isn't completely done for.

Now is the time to reflect on your disaster recovery efforts. Do you have a good backup? Do you have a fairly recent SAVSYS ("21 save) tape that they or you can restore your LIC (license programs), OS and all your users and devices from?

I hope this helps--You have a duplicate question...just re-iterating here too
