God and allah are not the same. Anything that denies Jesus Christ for who He is, the Son of God, is not from God.
I've heard allah referred to as the moon god.

First of all Divinity is Formless. But it is not possible for us to pray and concentrate on the formless in the beginning. Hence in each major religions some forms are assumed to depict Divinity and people start praying before such forms. It is equally true that the formless Divinity can assume any form it chooses. In the begining people started worshipping Nature as God. Thus Sun, Moon, Fire, water and even Snakes were worshipped as God. The moon's cool rays fill every being with joy. Hence you can consider Allah as a moon God but He is not limited to that particular form. nagarajan.
