Everyone is different, and no one can tell you how bad its going to feel for you to have it pierced. Generally if you've had other non-ear lobe piercings, you'll be able to tolerate the 2 seconds of pain to get it done.
You should not take heavy pain killers/opiates such as Viocdin. Numbing creams are also not advised. Generally pain is a good indicator is something is seriously wrong and if you are doped up on drugs, you or the piercer won't know if there is a problem. Alcohol thins your blood which can cause you to bleed more, which is why its advised you are sober for all mods and a good piercer won't pierce you if you are intoxicated. You've had other piercings you know its done with quickly and that the area is sore for a few days. Just relax, and you'll be fine.

I doesn't hurt that bad. The first time I had it done, it gave me a little bit of a headache. Luckily, I was on my way to a party. By the end of the night, I couldn't feel a thing (if you know what I mean! LOL). The second time I had my eyebrow pierced, it didn't hurt much either. The key is to find someone who has done it a lot and they will execute the correct technique.
In the end, though, it's not about other people's pain. It's about your own. What is your pain thresh hold like? If you stub your toe, are you in agony for a long time? If you cut your finger, does it practically kill you? If so, you might want to rethink getting anything pierced. If you handle pain with relative ease, you will probably be fine.
For me, on a scale of 1 - 10, I would say the eyebrow piercing was between and 4 & 5.
Hope this helps.

lol,i just got a tat done..piercings are so painless compared to getting inked..anyways,I have 8 piercings myself...tongue,eyebrow included...tongue hurt wayyyyyyyy more than my eyebrow did..i rate the pain a 0..because i didn't even feel it...it stung when i got my tongue done though, but just for a split second,if anything the swelling sucks the most..but the eyebrow was painless to me...it doesn't swell up much, but make sure you get a barbell instead of a ring, they're easier to take care of and don't get caught in everything...goodluck.

Your eyebrow and tongue are two of the least painful body parts to pierce but pain is different for eveyone. I would rate it 2 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being "I think I might die" and 1 being "Ow you pinched me"

Ive had my eyebrows pierced a total of 4 times. After the 4th time I gave up, because they kept ripping through the skin. (they didnt just rip out one day...I sleep on my stomach, and I bumped them a lot while I was sleeping, so they'd gradually rip through the skin until they were held in place by the thinnest piece of skin, and even the slightest bump pushed them through the rest of the way). Im not the only one who has had this problem...so if you sleep on your stomach, you might wanna rethink this. ...That being said. .....
The first time I got them pierced on each side, it felt like a little pinch. I have 2 tongue rings and trust me if you can make it through a tongue ring, you can make it through an eyebrow ring. The second time I got them pierced, on each side, I got them pierced in the same place as before, so they had to pierce through cartilage, and a little deeper, so it hurt more, but its definitely bearable. I took my friend with me to get her eyebrow pierced as well, she was whimpering and whining the entire way there and kept stalling when it came her turn to get pierced...when she finally did it, she sat up and said "I cant believe this.....that didnt hurt at all!" But, in time, hers came out too, same way mine did.
Maybe we're just restless sleepers, and I'm sure other people have had good luck with their eyebrow rings, but I also kept bumping mine during the day and it was basically doomed from the start.
Anyway I hope this helped, good luck if you decide to go through with it.

it hurt to get your tongue pierced? i had mine done twice and never felt anything (for the actual piercing) only residual pain and swelling for a few days. i also have my cartilage pierced and it hurt. but i don't remember my eyebrow hurting at all. it's been years but it must not have been too traumatic. i tend to forget pain tho.

you have your tongue done, so do i, i also have my eyebrow (amoung others) you will find your eyebrow a walk in the park, pain relief is not necessary, alchohol thins the blood and increases the chances of bleeding, when i had mine done, one tiny drop came out, my piercer cleaned it up and i had my lovely piercing done, no problem, you will be totally fine, good luck and enjoy!
