Forget about the casualties for a minute. I've been to 4 other countries since the beginning of the war in 2003. Everyone seems to hate Americans. These are countries in Western Europe.

I have talked to other people who travel a lot and they have experienced the exact same thing.

Americans have become outcasts internationally.

Was it worth it?

The fact of the matter is those other nations were never really our friends in the first place. They are just a bunch of people who pretend to like us when they want us to do something for them.

When we went into Iraq we disrupted their very profitable corrupt deals with Saddam and they resent the lost revenue.

BTW - why should we care about the opinions of countries that demonstrated that they would rather have Saddam for a friend?

Western European critics should be eternally grateful to the US for having the backbone that they don't have, particularly the French. That has nothing to do with Iraq or Afghanistan. That is just in relation to western civilization and history. Struggles always bring about unfortunate losses of life. Sacrifices are necessary for the defense of freedom. Surely our Western European friends should remember the good ol' days when hordes of Nazi armies plundered and pounded their cities and countrysides into submission. There were not too many families that didn't feel the affects of a military invasion sometime in their histories. I am sure some of them have even felt the psychological affects of a terrorist blast from a crazed suicide bomber. If we all sleep, we lose. Realistically, at times, war is a necessary evil. "Hate" is not necessarily the motivating force. It's the word: FREEDOM!

Yes, Because I don't care what other countries think about us.

I've been to 15 countries sense the war. And I've met more people who can tell the difference between politics and people. And they don't seem to hate Americans at all.

It is not the US people that is hated, It is your government that the world has a problem with.
The USA invaded Iraq on lies and now that they have been caught out, they are still lying.
There are many great things about the USA, the best would be COCA COLA.
The world is becoming unstable by the day due to the fools in power.
America used to be a country that all other Nations looked up to. Today most Nations have to look out for the USA.

Was the war worth it??
Ask Bush and his family in a few years time when they count the money they have stolen from everyone.
It is really a shame the USA don't believe what is written on their money.
IN GOD WE TRUST.

That depends on why you believe we went to war to begin with. I would most certainly rather be secure in my home and have everyone hate me than be dead. That's the short answer.

Ecclesiastes 3:8 - A Time for Everything

A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace.

Actually we do not hate Americans per se. We do hate your goverment. As far as the American public is conserned we on one hand feel sorry for you for having to put up with the a$$holes in your goverment, and on the other hand be surpised how stupid you can be to keep electing them again and again.

Of cource all of the above are justified if you consider how clueless and uneducated (in general)the American public is.
