I meant "lover" as in official boyfriend/girlfriend you actually had a relationship with.

yep! by my then-bf... it hurt like hell before i realized it was silly to cry over the jerk, I'm glad he left me coz now I'm with my current who treats me well :)

Abandoned..yes. Its very painful and if it happened to you am sorry. Just get a way of dealing with the issue..like keeping yourself busy doing something you would enjoy and also avoid being alone. This could beat the loss and depression.

will a husband do? i have a husband who abandoned us and disappeared. not actually disappeared but gone into hiding -as if i am going to look for him. he left me with one kid to care for. that was ten years ago. good riddance to him. i am better off without him.

In college, I met a girl named Gina in the laundry room. We hit it off great. We went out to dinner and dancing....had a great time. We kissed. I was in love.
The next day she ignored me and didn't speak to me again. We left-off on such good terms. To this day, I still am hurt and angry by her.

you know what.....i aint proud of this cuz i know i hurt 'em, but i left a few crazies completely up in the air. the good ones i treated as goddesses but the psychos got dropped cold and harsh and they never saw me again.....its amazing what i can come up with to drop someone. for example...........a long long time ago....i told this girl i was sent off to the military......never happened :D

yes, and since i am a guy who has a lot of self confidence i just figured they saved me a lot of aggravation in the long run..
better to have loved and lost..then not to have loved at all
