the fact is you will but it will take time. you seem to want to just wake up one fine day and be rid of all the things that you shared and that's just not possible. The only way you will quit thinking about him, and even then you wont, is to let time take over and gradually heal the wound. Start dating other people and see the world one place at a time. If there was a more simple way then everyone wouldn't have depression, frustration, or anything bad as far as that goes.

Don't die now. that boyfriend you spent time with, you laughed with, you probably slept with. In a way you have known him in and out. So all that will not be erased overnight. Go through this period and you will overcome. Just imagine one day your car gets stolen and you have to use taxis to work. Until you get another better car the memory of the stolen car will always be there, but the moment you get a new car that memory will gradually deminish. I hope you can finish my answer by yourself now. Take care

You have to make peace with it. If the last time you see him, you don´t say the points you were trying to make without letting him know how much that hurt you, keeping it civil and being as fair as possible, then your mind will still have a hang-up with him. So until that is cleared you might just be feeling something for a long time.

Start to realize that Love is a matter of The Heart. And that he wasn't thinking of Your Heart. He didn't have it? And he probably din't want it. If he didn't have Your Heart? It wasn't Love. Then you shouldn't be thinking baout him. Think about Mr. Right, Which is begging to meet you. So don't leave him waiting any longer. You got that!
