Forget "surge" we need to flood Iraq with 250,000 -500,000 troops until the violence has stopped. Anyone who thinks this will not work is crazy. We need more troops, more boots on the ground and we need to be their of anouther 10 years. We are alread getting reports from SADR CITY that the resistance has put down it arms because of the "surge". Do not squander this opportunity. Stick to it. Forge an alliance with Iraq the same way we forged an alliance with Germany and Japan after World War 2. This can work. This must work.

Point being ---what are they supposed to accomplish--- there is STILL no set determiner for the WIN POINT
When do we win ? When all the opposition is dead ? This is not going to happen---they keep being sent in from everywhere !!
When the radical fundamentalists capitulate ? Don't think this is ever going to happen---they have been at THIS game for centuries and have no incentive to capitulate !!
There is no centralized OBJECTIVE to conquer and set treaties in motion with ---- there isn't even a united core of Iraqi national pride that isn't ripped to pieces with factional hatreds and blood fueds in play --- so there is NO national unity point in which to base this INDEPENDENT IRAQ that we keep hearing about--- the one that has its own free standing government and military--- it just isn't going to happen !!
And, we've been being told for a very very long time ----that when -- ______________(fill in the blank with any one or any combination of the two hundred and seventeen "things" that we have been told were the things that would be the point that we could actually get out of this place)---- we'd be leaving----and then in no time at all----that all changes AGAIN !!!

So, this question implies that there is "something" that we are supposed to be "accomplishing" here---- so my answer to this question is a question---- How can we possibly know if this troop "surge" is going to accomplish what it is supposed to---if we don't know what they are intended to accomplish ???

It is to prop up the Iraq government, and to give them more time to organize an army & police force. I have heard reports from different sources on the media that if the surge doesn't not work, that troops may start to be phased out within 6 months. Realistically, based on what Bush has said, I don't think withdrawl of troops would be done in great numbers until late-2008, before the elections. That's my opinion.

Apparently the surge is working.

Al Sadr has fled to his handlers in Iran - which has demoralized his private army and wiped out the (very little) credibility he still had.

Of course no matter what happens - CNN will try to make you think it was a defeat.

1 withdraw move to kuwait
2 redeploy only to support Iraqi troops
3 better politics agreement between USA and IRAQ
4 get involved all world to the reconstructions
5 better foreign politics in order to calm down everyone

beside our mission is accomplish saddam is dead
the new Iraq government is there they have the own constitution
people vote again so there is not any logical reason to stay there however the US influence it will be guarantee for long long time
in order "like already said" to support the Iraqi
and the new government.

We need to be more smart concerning the Iraq war
we have the technology but if we don't use the brain
is like have nothing...

I think is time to withdraw and then we talk
