ok so i have started to teach myself basic hebrew with what i can learn online and through you guys thanks again... but it's not enough for me to understand a conversation and obviously not enough to engage in conversation. I'm a truck driver so i can't attend regular classes so i'm going to have to do this on my own. anyone know of a good way to go about learning hebrew without regular classes and without going to israel.

I found triplePlayPlus Hebrew CD-ROM very useful. I also like Hebrew/English picture dictionaries to improve vocabulary. I used the course "Hebrew So Simple" and played the Berlitz Hebrew-English tape constantly in my car until I learnt all the simple phrases.

The way I did it was through books and dictionaries. This was while I was in Israel, so I was alternating between reading the books and speaking to Israelis. It's good because you learn the words through the book, but you learn how to use the words properly through speaking to someone in Hebrew. Good luck:-)

regardless of if i'm no longer Jewish i turned right into a fine looking Hebrew movie, notwithstanding the call escapes me. It became about a Jewish guy and his spouse that were making waiting for a banquet in Israel the position they mandatory to construct a timber room outdoors their residing house. i wish between the others the following can remember the call of this movie, it turned right into a love tale had humor and confirmed some Jewish subculture. It became all in Hebrew and had English sub titles Edit: USHPIZEN..it really is the call of the movie!
