Here is the situation: I am currently "talkin" to this guy that I have known for 11 years and been friends with for about 5. He has always had a crush on me, but I never looked at him that way until recently. Now we have been talkin for a couple months and it is awesome. I am so attracted to him and he is such a good kisser, and we have made very clear how we feel about each other...how attracted we are to each other...how we miss each other when we aren't together etc. BUT...for some reason...we haven't had sex. I know we both want to, but when it comes down to it, neither of us will make the move. Is it better for us to just wait and it will begin to feel natural? What can we do to ease the transition and minimize the pressure? Any ideas why a guy would not want to have sex with someone he cares about and is extremely attracted to supposedly? (I have never heard of that)...lol

No...he knows that I am not a virgin...I was thinking that he was concerned about not reaching my expectations and ruining what we have right now...I am not really in a hurry either...I was just curious of what the different possibilities could be because I have never had someone sleep in my bed umpteen times and not try to sleep with me...

Because when you actually care it becomes really daunting. It's so much easier to sleep with someone random that you've met in a club than being really intimate with someone you love or care for deeply.

I think he sounds like he's been waiting for you for a long time. I think he's still waiting for you to be ready and make a move on him.

I think it could happen very organically with you initiating it, when you're making out just take it a little further until before you know it, you're having sex!

Best of luck, I think it will be very very intense! And don't make him wait too much longer.

b/c the falling in love phase is so wonderful he probly doesn't want it to end. I'm sure he's dying to find out how you really feel intimately in bed, but he knows that changes everything. Not that it's bad. I wouldn't think of it as bad, but you know how good you feel right now, whenever you 2 are together. You probly can't stop smiling or get rid of those love butterflies. It feels like your floating. well, he probly likes that phase and knows there's a risk to taking the next step.

Well maybe he's waiting til it feels right. I mean just because you both feel you want to maybe you both aren't ready physically. But when the time is right it will happen. Talk your feelings out with him and see how he feels then maybe it will ease the pressure. "K" Hope this helps.

As a girl who has had way too many guys that never felt pressured, I thoroghly enjoy the guy I am with now who cares about me and thinks about just being with me. Not my body. Its amazing and beautiful. Speaking from my personal experience, don't worry about Honey! That feeling that you feel when you are with him, that intense heat and racing heart, he's feeling it too! He is someone who respects you. He is your heart!

I am smiling and grinning so much over this question. Hello. Not having sex is an awesome thing and here is why. Sex and physicle intimacy is a lot like icing on a cake. Your heart, mind, and spirit are vast and huge. You've both started off very well, you are friends. thats awesome because your focus is not on the mere physicle but on each other as a person. Basically relationship and true love start first with friendship and then if intimacy and love develope, thats a bonus. Sex outside of a life long commitment can blur these lines. Emotion tends to run high and expectations are raised when that physicle side of the relationship is opened. Thats why I say wait untill marriage for sex because then, it is based upon true commitment based love where he is blessing you for the LONG term and not fullfilling something for now and then moving on. That point of waiting also shows a woman that she is well worth waiting for. It places honar upon her and a high esteem. True love lays down its life for others. Before the physicle, there needs to be sacrifice, a commitment. Any man who desires to have you sexually then ought to first be a part of you, be your other half in every single way. Once this is achieved then love is a decision and something that won't die because its based upon deeper levels of commitment. This goes way beyond how good you look or perform or anything else. This love also encludes those key relationships in your life. Your father and mother, your brothers and sisters, aunts uncles and so on. He needs to be a part of all of you and your friends and family are a vital part of the entire package deal that is "YOU". Me I am single and have not had sex outside of wedlock and I am waiting on ONE woman because I am a One woman man and I want her to know on our wedding day, I want to look her in the eyes and give her this gift, to say to her with all honesty and confidence that "I have waited exclusivly for you and only you and you are well worth the wait." sex is a deeply intimate thing. Its special and should never become a part of the dating times. It should be exclusivly for only those who are majorly committed for life to only one person.
The other thing too is major issues are at steak. What if you get pregnant. Have you planned for raising the child? What about the rest of the family? Hmmm. When you enter into sex, thats a covanent, especially when a child is involved when you get pregnant. Sex can only be protected and safe in marriage. Marriage actually free's a couple to fully give themselves over to the other partner so completly because then, Love is protected and has that covering of the honar and protective boundery of a sacred VOW, a deep promise called marriage. It is not a ball and chain at all! It is sacred! Sex is the physicle consimation of marriage but if entered into outside of marriage can destroy a relationship entirely. Issues of trust and fidelity are compromised.
You see, physicle intimacy and sex are like icing on a cake. deeper matters of your life, visions, dreams, goals, plans, the vastness of what makes you, YOU are so much more important than physicle pleasure. Sex is for committed partners who have made that covanent of marriage. 100 percent of every couple I have ever heard of who had sex outside of marriage always had problems. Most split up after a time but, in time, delayed gratification is always the best policy.
I personally believe that if it is true love, then waiting for a commitment is a way to die to his self and express this love in this way. Think of it as a presious gift you can only give to one person for life. Once opened, it changes your entire life forever. It cannot be returned and you give yourself completly to the other person. This is HUGE! Not the vision of mere pleasure hollywood brings up.

Just wait...Let it flow.

And for second question...
are you still a virgin?? Most of Man doesn't want to become the first one. Because they don't want to be responsible for ruining a girl.

Such feeling or desire, should evolve "naturally" and, as a rule, must NOT be forced.
