I used to be a heroin addict and i had many problems in my life that i never thought i would really overcome them.I still called myself a chrsitian but was giving in to satan constantly and was led astray from the lord. I have since changed my life so much and truely asked god into my life and its truly amazing. I cannot explain the emotion and happiness that i feel inside. I had to reach my rock bottom and when i has nothing else i looked to god.when i did that god made me feel at peace. I can feel the spirit working in me. I know i still sin and all humans do. but i find i am makin decisions now where i think would god approve of this or not. I have quit the drugs and the salvation god promises his believers is better then anything on this whole earth. I just dont understand how anyone could reject this love. Maybe some havent experienced it and i pray that you will. Just give it a try jesus is always at your heart waiting to enter, let him in,you will be amazed

i do not like christians who condemn others either, its hypocritical. I dont judge you if you dont accept jesus. but i really hope in this life u consider it, that some way god will show himself to you. I cant see god sending ppl to hell without giving them a legitimate chance to see the love jesus has for us

You have tasted the love of God and you have a wonderful testimony of God's love reaching you. I am rejoicing with you. Your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life and the Holy Spirit IS working in you. There is nothing more precious.

In answer to your question, one has to experience the love of God and until this happens God is rejected. Until God is unveiled to a man/woman, he does not perceive the greatest gift ever given. Your gratitude is sweet. I feel the same.

May the Lord bless you all the days of your life. May the Light of His countenance shine on you and give you peace in all that you do and say. May grace be multiplied. May you be delivered from evil all day long.

Blessings,
lindakflowers

Added: Thank you Ryan. I was thrilled to hear your story. Never tire of telling it.

The mind is an amazing thing, we haven't even tapped into the wonders it can do. The energy you can bring into your life, be it positive or negative has a lot to do with what kind of path you choose. I'm glad you have found positivity and are moving forward.

You know what I'll skip on dissing God, do what you do, best of luck to you.

Well when I was a Christian I was a very miserable and hateful person. After I left Christianity, I went through a major personality change and became a much nicer and more happy person.

I reject your God on moral grounds. I cannot in good conscience worship a being who would sentence people who do not worship him to an eternity of torment. He is far worse than Hitler.

Many people confuse the positive changes in their life with the idea that God helped them through it. Others, such as myself, while believing in God and praying for happiness, that same God did nothing.
That's why.

Congrats, btw.

It is wonderful you have found peace, but the heart of the matter is that while most people believe in God, they do not necessarily believe in the same religion.

I don't reject Him. I just don't like His worshippers and followers. I don't like being constantly and persistently told that I'm evil, that I'm an abomination, that I'm going to burn in Hell, etc. Told that crap enough times, anyone would turn their back on Him.

Congrats for getting your life back together though.

The so-called 'love' of a spiritual whore god, who spreads it for every Tom, Dick, and Harry, is worthless. Atheists have the love of real people - we don't need sky fairies.

God only loves post-Adamic humans..

for us atheists it just makes no sense to accept love of a mythological being; however, i am very happy it works for you, as it does for millions of people. your type of religion is a great one and i wish you well.
