Hi watch_n_learn!!!
A many breeds are just cute and small.
Please look http://www.askedweb.com/askedweb/Image:Basenji.jpg/ -
Basenji are small, unusual, elegant, athletic dogs about the size of a fox terrier, with a smooth shiny coat of copper, red, black and tan, and brindle. Very active pack-hunting dog of small game
Bolognese- http://www.askedweb.com/w/images/9/9d/Bolognese.jpg
Family pet. The Bolognese is of small size, stocky and compact, covered with a pure white coat, long and fluffy. This is a cheerful, intelligent, and obedient dog that is very affectionate, clam, and vigilant.
Border Collie - http://www.askedweb.com/w/images/6/67/Border-collie.jpg
Sheepdog and cattle-herder. The Border Collie is a medium sized bundle of energy, looking rather like a lightly built Australian Shepherd without a bob-tail. The body is slightly longer than the height at the withers. This dog is very eager to work, intelligent and astute, a quick learner, attentive, lively, and alert.
Cesky Terrier - http://www.askedweb.com/askedweb/Cesky_Terrier/
Hunting dogs and family pet. The Cesky Terrier is playful yet protective, sporty yet calm. The Cesky is a good-humored dog which is affectionate, very adaptable, stalwart and hardy, sporty but calm. It is intelligent and sociable.
You may look : http://www.askedweb.com/askedweb/Category:Dogs_Gallery/ and to do choice of your puppy.

There are many "toy" breeds that stay little and cute. MinPins, Italian Grey Hounds, and Peruvian Hairless are some of my favorites but many types exist, Try looking on the internet for "toy dog breeds" and you'll come up with a huge list.
