its not a date.... but we know eachother really well through school. ( junior / high school) he has come over a couple times.... what if he tells his friends and then rumors escalate?how should i tell him if we are at school ? note or face to face?

Chances are he has a crush on you too, despite his crush on another girl. We men can change our minds on a dime, and a girl we hadn't even considered can earn our respect and our hearts very quickly. Since you're already going on a date with him, I think he has a thing for you. I would tell him you like him, and would like to go on a few dates to get to know each other, and then take it from there.

Of course you should tell him how you feel.. He might even find it cute that you are being honest.. If he knows he does not have a chance with the other girl, and youre open, he'll start looking your way..Good luck!

Yes, tell him, you may have to be the one to start the relationship if he is shy, I did, and that is how I got my wonderful husband. The shy ones are the best ones, they are a blast once they get to know you, he will show you the tiime of your life.

Do not tell him in blunt words, maybe tell him...the other girl was nice but it was her loss as many other girls like to be with you and stuff like that....(he will not handle negative talk about her as he is still shocked and his ego is bruised.)
Do not feed his ego on your account...please, make sure to tell him these things in a nice gentle way, if he inquires further then tell him, if not...do not tell, this way if doesn't feel like you feel there will be no harm done.

Well I would tell him because the worse thing that could happen is him telling you he's not interested and that wouldn't kill you, then you could let him waste his time on the girl that doesn't want him and you could move on to find someone who does want you.

I think that you should tell him, because it would be better than regretting it for the rest of your life. Whatever his reaction, however he responds, it is still better to tell him.
